Dental Bonding
Smile Makeover Specialist
If you have cracked, chipped, misaligned, discolored, or misshapen teeth, dental bonding may be the perfect cosmetic dentistry solution to your smile problems. Bonding is a popular procedure with our Indianapolis cosmetic dentistry patients because it is a conservative treatment that is also very affordable. This easy, one-visit procedure can fix a number of tooth issues and help you improve your smile appearance.
Bonding Dentists with Skill and Experience
Although dental bonding is one of our quickest smile treatments, there is a high level of skill involved in the application and shaping of the dental bonding material. Dr. Mike Deldar and Dr. Sohaila Deldar trained at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and have helped thousands of Indiana patients improve their smiles through bonding. Check out their results on the Before and After page.
Your Dental Bonding Appointment
Here is a brief summary of what to expect during your dental bonding visit:
- After a thorough dental evaluation which includes X-rays, Dr. Deldar will present a few smile makeover options and detail the benefits of the treatments available to you.
- Once you decide that dental bonding is right for you, our team will set you up for your next visit.
- During your dental bonding appointment, Dr. Deldar will begin by preparing the tooth or teeth that will be bonded. By gently etching the tooth surface, Dr. Deldar creates room for the bonding material and encourages a strong adhesion.
- Next, the bonding liquid is applied to the enamel. The bonding liquid will be allowed to set.
- A special bonding resin comprised of a safe plastic is then applied.
- Dr. Deldar sculpts the bonding resin into the desired shape. After the resin is hardened with a high-intensity light, it will be trimmed for a symmetrical shape and smoothed with a dental tool.
- Finally, your cosmetic dentist will polish the tooth for a beautiful, natural look.
Why Choose Dental Bonding?
The benefits of dental bonding are numerous. Not only can this treatment repair several tooth problems at once, it also allows your dentist to completely customize the shape, size, and shade of the recontoured tooth. The bonding material is completely safe and does a great job of masking tooth flaws. Our patients love the added benefit of permanent whitening, too.
