The Deldar’s Plan for a Healthy Smile

Keeping your teeth and gums in great shape takes dedication and commitment. At Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry & TMJ, we believe there are a few simple rules you can follow to maintain a smile that is not only healthy, but beautiful, too.

  1. Follow your dentist’s dental hygiene recommendations. For most patients, this will include brushing and flossing after meals and limiting the frequency of sugary snacks. For patients with gum disease, dentures, or another high-maintenance condition, Dr. Deldar may create a custom hygiene plan.
  2. Visit us at least twice a year. As trained dental professionals, our job is to spot minor problems before they cause serious side effects. If you wait to visit us until you have tooth or gum pain, you may be compromising your dental health.
  3. If a problem arises, don’t wait to call. If you are experiencing any abnormal symptoms, such as tooth pain or gum irritation, contact us right away. Many small tooth issues can be corrected if the timing is good.

Our Family Dentistry Services

Here are a few of the services we offer as part of our family dentistry regimen:

Root Canal Treatment

If you have a tooth in trouble, the root canal treatment is an effective way to preserve your natural enamel and prevent extraction. The process involves removal of the diseased dental pulp and nerve, followed by cleaning and sealing of the canal. Next, a compound called gutta percha is used to fill the canal. Finally, a filling is placed to protect the biting surface, and a crown may be placed atop the tooth for further protection.

If you are not sure if your dental hygiene routine is working, talk to our experienced family dentists about your dental health. Please call or e-mail our Indiana family dentistry practice today and we can set you up for a comprehensive smile evaluation.
